About Gatorbird

A Voice Shaped by Faith, Forged in the Wilderness

This is not a polished media ministry. It's one believer's honest attempt to hold the Word of God up to the light of today — and refuse to look away.

The Story

Why Gatorbird?

The anhinga — sometimes called the snakebird, sometimes the gatorbird — is a strange creature. It dives deep into murky water to find its food, then climbs out and spreads its wings wide in the sun to dry. It doesn't have the waterproofing most birds do. It has to be exposed, vulnerable, open to the light just to survive.

That felt right. Gatorbird.net is about diving into the murky waters of today's culture and politics — not to wallow in them, but to find what's true and bring it back up. And then standing in the light of Scripture, wings spread, letting the Word do what only the Word can do.

We're not here to win arguments. We're here to be faithful.

Morning devotion with open Bible

"The anhinga has to be exposed to the light just to survive. That felt right."

Our Mission

Speaking Truth in Love — Without Apology

Scripture First

Every opinion, every take, every article starts and ends with the Word. Not the other way around.

Courage Over Comfort

The Church has been too quiet for too long. We believe God calls His people to speak — even when it costs something.

Warmth Without Compromise

Truth doesn't have to be cold. We can be direct and still be kind. Bold and still be loving. That's the model Jesus gave us.

Real Over Polished

No spin. No brand management. Just honest reflection from someone who's wrestling with the same questions you are.

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear."
1 Peter 3:15

The Voice Behind Gatorbird

A Believer in the Trenches

I'm not a pastor or a theologian — just a follower of Jesus who got tired of watching the Church go quiet while the world got loud. I've spent years reading, writing, praying, and arguing (lovingly) with friends about faith, politics, and what it means to be a Christian in America right now. Gatorbird is where those conversations live.

I write from the South, from the pew, and from the conviction that the Gospel is still the most powerful force in the world — and that it has something to say about everything happening right now.
